These mirrors are a natural solid timber Black Walnut. No two mirrors are exactly the same. You can expect slight variations in colour and grain characteristic of each item, but that's part of this natural wood product's charm.

Compared to the American Oak and Black Timber versions this frame is somewhat more expensive. This is because all woods were not created equal.

Black Walnut (Juglans nigra) has good working characteristics, coupled with its rich brown colouration which puts the wood in a class by itself. It has a medium and even texture and its grain can either be straight or have a wavy, fiddleback pattern, which is valued for furniture and veneers. It is one of the most expensive and lucrative trees to sell, thanks to its high-quality dark wood.
