MELBOURNE Seventh City of the Empire is a vintage travel poster for Victorian Railways in the 1930s by Percy Trompf.
The poster is a picture of Melbourne’s first skyscraper, the Manchester Unity Building on the corner of Swanston and Collins streets. At 12 Stories high and topped with a decorative tower, it was Melbourne’s tallest building and was home to the city’s first escalators.

Printed on 230gsm archival-pH neutral matte paper, perfect for prints of all sizes and easily framed.

Our prints on canvas is 400gsm artist quality, real polyester/cotton canvas with a 2:1 weave structure for highest print quality results. The water-resistant coating allows a wide colour range and extremely high colour densities. Print Decor can provide a quote to stretch the canvas print.
Our images are professionally scanned and retouched from original sources in our collection of vintage journals, magazines, posters, newspapers from the 1850s to the 1970s. Our production and design staff are experts in image restoration and have many years' experience in the design and print industry.
