Dromana by Nick Psomiadis | Square Format Print | Print Decor
Take a long walk along the Dromana pier, but don't jump unless you're a good swimmer.
Nick captures a stunning summer sunset over Dromana Pier.
A selection of exquisite photographic images from the eye of a perfectionist.
Nick Psomiadis produces each work in his own studio and true to his professional attitude this reflects clearly in the finished printed product.
In his own words about arriving at Dromana Pier before dawn: "I recall it being a warm morning that day, the beach was so calm with only a slight breeze in the air but otherwise totally silent. Arriving at the pier I noticed the reflections in the sand created by the waves and so I decided that's where I needed to be for this shot."
Psomiadis works with the Mornington Peninsula coast repeatedly, returning to the same locations at different hours and in different seasons. This image is from that ongoing study of Victorian coastal light.

About the artist
Psomiadis is an Australian born creative artist who since his early childhood was considered by others as a perfectionist. In 1986 he purchased his first SLR camera which was a brand new Russian made Zenit dubbed the "Russian Tank" weighing in at almost a kilo holding true to its name. "I remember the first pictures ever taken with that camera," says Nick and as the phrase goes "The rest is history."
Turning his passion into a profession and evolving into an international award winning photographer today Nick travels Australia and the world to such places as Iceland to capture the "Northern Lights", (NorΓ°urljΓ³s" in Icelandic), with a camera equipment that would set you back the cost of a luxury car.
