Tracey Moffatt is an Australian photographer and filmmaker who has gained international recognition for her provocative and visually stunning works. She was born on November 12, 1960, in Brisbane, Australia, and studied visual communications at the Queensland College of Art before moving to Sydney to work as a freelance photographer.
Moffatt's work explores issues of race, gender, and identity, often using powerful images to challenge prevailing cultural norms and stereotypes. She has been the subject of numerous solo exhibitions around the world, including at the Museum of Contemporary Art in Sydney, the Art Gallery of New South Wales, and the Dia Center for the Arts in New York. In 2017, she represented Australia at the Venice Biennale with her exhibition "My Horizon."
